Rocky's Red Explorer:
I purchased my Explorer new in Nov 92 . Two weeks later I had 31x10.5 BFG M/Ts on it. Approximately 18 months after that, I installed a 2" Body Lift and 33x9.5 BFG A/Ts--that was an awesome combination. During the next three years I had new 4:56 gears installed and a Detroit EZ locker put in front. The truck climbed like a Mountain Goat but waslimited by ground clearance at the axles. During Thanksgivingvacation-97, I installed the Super Lift 5.5" lift and 35" M/T tires. On my first outing with the 35" tires, the Auto hubs blew-out leaving me stranded at the bottom of a sand bowl! Fortunately, we were able to get out and at the first opportunity I replaced the hubs with Warn manuals. I slowly (funds permitting) upgraded the suspension with Skyjacker radius arms and SprLft steering. Over the last couple years I've installed a Zimmerman Mod rear springs, dual shocks at all four corners, skid plates and bumpers.  Today my truck consists of all the above plus K&N air filter, Flow Master exhaust, 37" Boggers. Future plans include; PowerTrax locker for the rear 8.8, Electric cooling fans, Transmission temperature gauge, etc, etc.
